Ellayo

Fee: Impossibly Exclusive

Medium Fawn | Summer, 2007 | Gelding

ARI: N/A | CLAA: N/A

If you look up “quality alpaca” in the dictionary, Ellayo’s face would appear. He is stunning. Just look at him. He is covered in dense, silky, fine fibre, that is just so well organized, and so amazing in appearance, that it makes one wonder if he is maybe part sheep.

Just kidding.

Ellayo is not very much to look at, and he does not have much to offer any breeding program genetically, but his value in the herd, keeping the peace between the boys and providing hours of entertainment, is immeasurable.

He was my very first alpaca, and like most “firstborn” children, he has been my mostly patient guinea pig. Intelligent, easy going, and very much the long-suffering uncle to new entries to the stud paddock, Ellayo earns his feed as well as any macho at the end of the day.
