Grade 5 fleece is graded and/or histogram tested as being on average 29µ - 31.9µ. Fleece in this category may vary in handle, from soft to coarse, but will be well suited for applications where one wants a harder wearing product that is not worn against the skin. Wet or needle felting, durable yarns, and outerwear are popular uses for this micron range.

Grade 5 fleece is priced at $10.00/lb, for raw, skirted fleece. Fleeces can be tumbled upon request, but will otherwise be shipped "noodled" in a cut blanket configuration.
