I could not be prouder of this male if I tried. Out of the Battle River breeding Program, Bocelli is a well rounded male who displays strong positive qualities in conformation, fleece production and temperament. He is athletic, with a medium build that is not lacking in substance of bone or style. He presents with an upright, true-to-type phenotype that carries a healthy degree of coverage from nose to tail, balancing style with practicality.

 

He has maintained a soft handling, appropriately fine fleece well into maturity that has continued to yield positive feedback from judges remarking on the retention of fibre traits, including uniformity and handle. His cria are proving to be uniform in micron across the blanket, regularly displaying a high degree of organization, lustre and above average staple length, without sacrificing colour. I value Bocelli immensely in pairings where I want to increase that staple length across the whole of the body, and add some lustre and style to the fleece for a silky soft handle, and with his moderate build, balanced temperament, and propensity to produce smaller cria, he is fantastic for use on maidens and smaller females where one wants to increase frame height, but not risk too large of a cria. They additionally share his tractable, easy going temperament and curiosity. Cumulatively, to date his offspring have earned over 200 points in their successive show careers, with his offspring winning 6 Colour and Reserve championships, 28x 1st places, 16x 2nd places; across the halter and fleece rings, earning Bocelli the titles "Recognized Sire" (RS) and "Sire of Merit" (SoM).
