In Memoriam

It is hard when working with animals not to become attached, and to realize that they each hold some small part of our heart and soul both during and after their time in our lives. While there have been many, here are but a few of those animals which have touched our lives and deserve recognition for the time that they were with us, and the lessons that they taught.

AAC Prudence

Herdsire

10/16/2008 - 3/1/2024

My first "pay check", Prudence was a bottle raised male who really stoked my passion for alpacas and got me hooked. Prudence was my first registered breeding male, my PR companion in educating the local youth and farm visitors about alpacas, and my ever patient training guinea pig. He was patient with people and with the herd, and served as "uncle" for the weanlings alongside his best friend, Ellayo, for much of his life.
